About
Who runs this, and how to reach us
6on7 is run by a small team, and we would rather tell you that than dress it up. What follows is who we are, what happens when you write to us, and what we do with a report.
A small operation, on purpose
6on7 is not owned by a public company and it is not part of a portfolio of dating apps. It is a small product built by a small team, which is exactly why we can promise the things on this site that the large platforms cannot. A company that has to report quarterly growth cannot decide to stop selling boosts.
The trade-off is real and we will not pretend otherwise: we do not have hundreds of millions of users, and if what you want is the biggest possible pool then one of the large apps genuinely serves you better. We say which ones, and why, on the comparison pages.
Reach a person, not a form
There is no ticket system, no chatbot and no press-one-for-billing. Write to the address below and somebody who works on the product reads it.
For anything: a question, a bug, a complaint about another member, a request about your data, or something we have got wrong. Reports about safety go to the front of the queue.
We aim to reply within two working days. If you have written and heard nothing after three, write again - it means we missed it rather than ignored it.
What actually happens to a report
Most platforms will not tell you, which is why people assume reports go nowhere. Ours go here:
- 1It lands in a queue that a person reads. Nothing about a safety report is decided by automation.
- 2Anything involving a safety concern, a threat, or a possible minor goes to the front of that queue immediately.
- 3The person you reported is never told who reported them. That is absolute, and it does not change if they ask.
- 4Blocking is separate and instant: it stops the chat, hides you from each other and cancels every shared thing between you straight away, whether or not you also report.
- 5If an account is removed, the other members who reported it are not told the outcome, because telling them would identify them.
Where we operate
248 countries, open from day one, with no regional waitlist and no app-store gatekeeping by country. That is a consequence of being a website rather than an app, and it is the one structural advantage we have over almost everyone in this category.
The things we will not do
Rather than repeat the whole list here, it lives in one place: six things we will not do to you. It includes the reason there is no member count anywhere on this site, which is the question people ask most often.
Read the promiseIf we get something wrong
Tell us, and we will fix it and say that we did. The research on credibility is consistent on this point: a site that corrects its mistakes openly is trusted more than one that appears flawless, provided it has demonstrated competence in the first place. We would rather look fallible than look rehearsed.
That includes this page. If something here is out of date or turns out to be untrue, that is a bug and it matters more than a visual one.
